ABOUT AWARDS
The nomination process of CGMA Annual Awards has been officially launched recently. The CGMA Annual Awards was initiated in 2005, aiming to convey the importance of finance on organizational governance and value creation by means of setting up the benchmarks for excellent management accounting practices and outstanding financial talents, as well as building a platform for the communication between CFOs, enterprises, investors and academics, and thus pushing forward the development of research and practice of management accounting in China , which will even have great impact on the transformation of China’s economy.
For more than a decade, the CGMA Annual Awards has witnessed the growth and success of numerous outstanding enterprises and management accountants. Since its creation, the Awards has been playing an increasingly important role and made remarkable achievements in advocating the best practices of management accounting and pushing forward the performance and governance, value creation and social responsibilities fulfillment of companies in China.
The CGMA Annual Awards 2023 will be composed of "CGMA Best Practice of Management Accounting of the Year ", " CGMA Best Innovation of Digital Management Accounting of the Year ", " CGMA Best Financial Shared Service Center of the Year ", “CGMA Best Practice of RPA of the Year”、"CGMA Financial Leader of the Year " and " CGMA Most Promising Finance Talent of the Year ", six awards in total.
Based on the Global Management Accounting Principles (GMAP) - the global standard reference for management accounting, the Awards is to assess whether the individual and enterprise candidates have excelled in qualification, achievement and contributions among the best in the field.

CGMA Best Practice in Management Accounting of the Year
This award recognizes the finance team and celebrates the achievements which demonstrated how well the innovation and practice of management accounting has contributed to the overall success. The team provides influential suggestions and drives to make decisions and implement strategies. It plays a key role in assessing the financial status and risks and maintaining the continuous development of the business. Through digital technology and data analysis, it aims to drive the accomplishment of the organization's overall strategy.
CGMA Best Innovation in Digital Management Accounting of the Year
This award recognizes enterprises that have made innovative contributions in the digital transformation. They are excellent representatives of the development of digital management accounting, and they provide great reference for the Chinese enterprises that in the process of upgrading and evolution of digital management accounting. They have been deeply engaged in the field of digital management accounting for many years. More importantly, they have empowered their financial teams with digital and intelligent tools, reshaped management accounting system and multi-business scenario financial decision support through innovative methods and supported the digital transformation with financial transformation driven business excellence.
CGMA Best Financial Shared Service Center of the Year
This award recognizes an outstanding shared service center operating in the Chinese market. It celebrates the achievements of a shared service center that has demonstrated the values that the SSC has brought to the organization, successfully drives the construction of the organization’s management accounting system, which in turn contributes to the overall success of the organization foundation continuously optimizes the overall performance level of the organization and has been a key factor of the success of the whole organization.
CGMA Best Practice in RPA of the Year
This award recognizes the top RPA initiative in the industry, it celebrates the positive impact and performance improvement brought to the entire organization. Through the RPA project, successfully drives the construction of the organization's management accounting system, which in turn contributes to the overall success of the organization foundation and improve the adaptability in the process of digital transformation.
CGMA Finance Leader of the Year
This award goes to senior financial leaders based in China who have made a significant contribution to the success of their organization. The candidates shall have been in the same management role for at least one year. They rely on their dedication and outstanding leadership to make the continuous progress of the company, and they lead the company to move forward in a challenging era. Their skills and dedication have led to both strategic and financial achievements, demonstrating the highest standards of management accounting.
CGMA Most Promising Finance Talent of the Year
This award goes to the CIMA student and ACMA/FCMA/CGMA who demonstrates the greatest potential to be a finance leader in the future. It aims to commend the selected candidates for their relentless learning spirit and the diligence in the development of the management accounting profession. Meanwhile provides a positive boost to the business and value growth of the organization.
